KOLLMEYER MICROFILMED AN ORDINANCE PERMITTING CITY DIRECTOR MICHAEL GREEN TO SERVE AS MECHANICAL AND ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING CONSULTANT TO THE ARCHITECT FOR SCHOOL FACILITY IMPROVEMENTS TO BE FINANCED BY A $ 10 , 000 , 000 CITY REVENUE BOND ISSUE . WHEREAS , O . Michael Green , Engineering , Inc . was selected as mechanical and electrical engineering consultant to the architect for school facility improvements proposed by the Fayetteville School District ; and WHEREAS , 0 . Michael Green was subsequently elected to the Board of Directors ; and WHEREAS , the voters have approved a $ 10 , 000 , 000 revenue bond issue by the City of Fayetteville , secured by a pledge of a portion of the City ' s 1 % local sales and use tax to finance construction of school facility improvements ; and WHEREAS , Ark . Code Ann . § 14 - 47 - 115 ( 1987 ) provides that a director of a city shall not be interested , directly or indirectly , in any contracts made with the city unless the Board of Directors of the city shall have enacted an ordinance specifically permitting a director to conduct business witn the city and prescribing the extent of this ,authority . NOW , THEREFORE , BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE , ARKANSAS : Section 1 . That O . Michael Green shall be permitted to serve as mechanical and electrical engineering consultant to the architect for school facility improvements proposed by the Fayetteville School District which are to be financed by a $ 10 , 000 , 00 City of Fayetteville revenue borid - issue .
