AN ORDINANCE WAIVING THE REQUIREMENTS OF
COMPETITIVE BIDDING TO REPLACE A SEWER MAIN ON
OAK DRIVE ,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
FAYETTEVILLE , ARKANSAS :
Section 1 . The Board of Directors hereby waives the
requirements of competitive bidding for the replacement of a sewer
main on Oak Drive for the reason that said requirements are not
practical because the existing sewer main needs to be replaced
immediately to safeguard the public health .
Section 2 . The Board of Directors hereby determines that
the existing sewer main on Oak Drive needs to be replaced
immediately to safeguard the public health and hereby determines
that the immediate passage of this ordinance is -necessary to
replace said sewer main . Therefore , an emergency is hereby
declared to exist and this ordinance be necessary for the public
health , safety and wealth should be in full force and effect from
and after its passage and approval . ,
