AN ORDINANCE WAIVING THE REQUIREMENTS OF MICROFILM€i
\ COMPETITIVE BIDDING FOR THE PURCHASE OF
U\ AUTHORIZED ITEMS FROM THE UNIFORM ALLOWANCE
Ki FOR THE POLICE DIVISION .
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
FAYE'1TEVILLE , ARKANSAS :
Section 1 . That the Board of Directors hereby waives the
requirements of competitive bidding for the purchase of authorized
items from the uniform allowance for the Police Division for the
reason that said requirements are not practical as Tuxall Uniform
and Equipment of Carthage , Missouri is the only supplier of the
shirt specified .
Section 2 . That the Board of Directors hereby authorizes
the purchase of the items listed on Exhibit " A" attached hereto
for the Police Division from Tuxall Uniform and Equipment at a
total cost of $ 40 , 899 . 00 .
Section 3 . That the Board of Directors hereby determines
that the immediate purchase of the uniforms for the Police
Division is necessary for the City to provide efficient police
services and that the provision of efficient police services is
essential to the public health , safety and welfare . Therefore , an
emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance being
necessary for the public health , safety and welfare shall be in
full force and effect from and after its passage and approval .
