KOLLMEYER AN ORDINANCE WAIVING THE REQUIREMENTS OF COMPETITIVE BIDDING FOR THE PURCHASE OF A 3 / 4 MICROF mtt TON , 15 -PASSENGER VAN , BEITIT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE , ARKANSAS : §1 . That the Board of Directors hereby waives the require - ments of competitive bidding for the purchase of a 3 / 4 ton , 15 - passenger van for the reason that said requirements are not feasible because such a van is needed immediately and no delivery date was available for the one vehicle which was originally bid . $ 2 . The Board of Directors hereby determines that the City of Fayetteville is in immediate need of a 3 / 4 ton , 15 -passenger van and hereby determines that the immediate passage of this ordinance is necessary for the purchase of such a van . Therefore , an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance being necessary for the public welfare shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval .
