ORDINANCE NO . 3296 MICROFILMED
AN ORDINANCE WAIVING THE REQUIREMENTS OF
COMPETITIVE BIDDING FOR THE PURCHASE OF TWO
SUBMERSIBLE WATER PUMPS FOR THE ARKANSAS
HIGHWAY 112 SEWER LIFT STATION .

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
FAYETTEVILLE , ARKANSAS :
Section 1 . That the Board of Directors hereby waives the
requirements of competitive bidding for the purchase of two
submersible water pumps for the Arkansas Highway 112 Sewer Lift
Station for the reason that said requirements are not feasible
�o because there is an immediate need for said pumps to properly
operate said lift station .
Section 2 . The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the
ti purchase of two submersible water pumps from Pumps and Power
Company at a total price of $ 3 , 650 . 40 in accordance with the
proposal attached hereto , marked Exhibit A and made a part
rt, hereof .
Section 3 . The Board of Directors hereby determines that
two submersible water pumps are needed immediately for the proper
operation of the Arkansas Highway 112 Sewer Lift Station , and
hereby determines that the immediate passage of this ordinance is
necessary to purchase said water pumps . Therefore , an emergency
is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance being necessary
for the public health , safety and welfare , shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage and approval .
