AN ORDINANCE WAIVING THE REQUIREMENTS OF MICROMIAE®
COMPETITIVE BIDDING FOR THE PURCHASE OF
AUTOMOBILE INSURANCE , BOILER AND MACHINERY
INSURANCE , PUBLIC OFFICIALS LIABILITY INSUR-
ANCE , COMPREHENSIVE LAW ENFORCEMENT LIABILITY
vINSURANCE , AND PROPERTY INSURANCE ,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
rr FAYETTEVILLE , ARKANSAS :
v Section 1 . That the Board of Directors hereby waives the
requirements of competitive bidding for the purchase of automobile
liability insurance , boiler and machinery insurance , public
officials liability insurance , comprehensive law enforcement
liability insurance , and property insurance for the reason that
said requirements are not feasible because the City ' s existing
insurance policies terminate within a few days .
Section 2 . That the Board of Directors hereby determines
that the safe and efficient administration of municipal government
requires the City to maintain adequate insurance at all times and
hereby determines that the immediate passage of this ordinance is
necessary for the City to continue maintaining adequate insurance .
Therefore , an emergency is hereby declared to exist , and this
ordinance being necessary for the public health , safety and
welfare shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage and approval .
