AN ORDINANCE WAIVING THE REQUIREMENTS OF COMPETITIVE
BIDDING FOR THE PURCHASE OF PARKING METER PARTS .
BE rT OMUNED BY THE BOARD OF DERECTCRS OF THE CITY OF FAYR7TMUE,
AlUGWRAS :
Section 1 . That the Board of Directors hereby waives the
requirements of competitive bidding for the purchase of parking meter parts
for the reason that said requirements are not practical as there is an
immediate need for said parts for the City to provide adequate traffic
regulation .
iSection 2 . The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the purchase of
parking meter parts from P .O .M . , Inc . in accordance with the purchase order
attached hereto marked Exhibit "A" and made a part hereof .
Section 3 . The Board of Directors hereby determines that the
immediate purchase of parking meter parts is necessary to insure adequate
i traffic regulation , that adequate traffic regulation is essential to the
public health, safety and welfare , and that the immediate adoption of this
0 ordinance is necessary for the purchase of said parts . Therefore an
emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance being necessary for
the public health , safety and welfare shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage and approval ,
