WHEREAS, the City of Fayetteville has given notice to the public FR/(
by publication in a paper of general circulation within the City ,
stating that copies of the Industrial Pretreatment Code are open to
public examination in the office of the City Clerk as required by
Ark . Stat . Ann . § 19-2423 ,
NCWr T1MFORB, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARROEM:

Section 1 . That the Industrial Pretreatment Code on file
U in the--office of the City Clerk is hereby adopted by reference ,
U Section 2 . Said Industrial Pretreatment Code shall be codified
as Articlely in Chapter 21 of the Fayetteville Code of Ordinances ,

S Section 3 . All ordinances or parts thereof in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed .

Section 4 . The Board of Directors hereby determines that
pretreatment ' of industrial waste is necessary for proper operation
of the City ' s wastewater treatment plant ; that proper operation of
the City ' s wastewater treatment plant is essential to the public health ,
safety and welfare ; and that the immediate passage of this ordinance
is necessary to require pretreatment of industrial waste . Therefore ,
an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance being
necessary for the public health , safety and welfare shall be in full
force and effect from and after its passage and approval ,
