AN ORDINANCE WAIVING THE REQUIREMENTS OF COMP �,�iI��z/��UVTf ,
BIDDING FOR REPAIRS A BAR SCREEN AT THE POLL[TTI( I�1FF�FR 4
CONTROL PLANT . / !'
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THH CTTY OF FAYTPEVILIEr
ARKANSAS:
Section 1 . That the Board of Directors hereby waives the
requirements of competitive bidding for repairs to a bar screen at
the Pollution Control Plant because said requirements are not practical
because failure of a bar screen requires immediate repair for proper
operation of the Pollution Control Plant and preservation of the public
health , safety and welfare .
Section 2 . The Board of Directors hereby determinesrthat
failure of a bar screen at the Pollution Control Plant requires immediate
repair to safeguard the public health , safety and welfare and hereby
determines that the immediate passage of this ordinance is necessary
for such repair . Therefore , an emergency is hereby declared to exist ,
and this ordinance being necessary for the public health, safety and
welfare shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage
and approval .
