AN ORDINANCE APPROVING AN INCREASE IN THE BASE
RATE FOR TAXICABS FROM $ 1 . 25 TO $2 . 00 .
BE TT ORDAIIED BY THE BOARD OF DIRE aURS OF THE CITY OF FAWITEVILLEr
ARKANSAS:
Section 1 . That the Board of Directors hereby approves an
increase in the base taxicab rate frau $1 . 25 to $ 2 . 00 .
Section 2 . That the Board of Directors hereby determines
that provision of taxicab service to residents and visitors in Fayetteville
is essential to the public welfare and that the immediate passage
of this ordinance is necessary for the provision of taxicab service
in the City . Therefore , an emergency is hereby declared to exist ,
and this ordinance being necessary for the public welfare shall be
in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval .
PASSED AND APPIUVED this 3rd day of June 1986 .
