Home My WebLink AboutOrdinance 3156 OR tp F, c� V 'd _ + G7' ; . 3 1 �i!fAGI L' �� 0 � �T� L'( r. . rF.� .Q MIC?GFILMED ORDINANCE NO. 3156 J AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN PROPERTY TO CENTRAL BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO , 1 OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE , ARKANSAS . v WHEREAS, persons claiming to be the owners of two-thirds of assessed value , as shown by the last County assessment , of real property contiguous to Central Business Improvement District No. 1 of Fayetteville , Arkansas U have petitioned to have said property annexed to said Improvement District ; and a WHEREAS , following publication of notice as required by law , the Fayetteville Board of Directors has held a Public Hearing on the question of whether two-thirds in assessed value of the owners of real property in the territory sought to be annexed have signed such petition ; and WHEREAS, the Fayetteville Board of Directors has determined that said petition contains the requisite signatures . NOW, THERE['MF BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CTTT OF FAYETT'EVIIIE, ARKANSAS: Section 1 . That the following described real property is hereby annexed to Central Business Irrprovement District No . 1 of Fayette- ville , Arkansas : Lots 1 , 2 , 3 , 4 and 5 of Block 41 of the original plat of the Town (now City ) of Fayetteville , Arkansas as per plat recorded in the office of the Circuit Clerk and Ex-Officio Recorder of Washington County , Arkansas . Section 2 . The Board of Directors hereby determines that Central Business Improvement District No . 1 was established to promote redevelopment of the downtown square area by making tax exempt financing available to potential developers , that the area proposed for annexation is contiguous to the Central Business Improvement District , that Congress has under consideration proposed legislation which would prohibit the use of tax exempt financing for private redevelopment projects after January 1 , 1986 and that redevelopment of the area proposed for annexation will promote the public welfare .
