That Sec . 17B-9 ( A) ( 2 ) (a ) of the Fayetteville Code of Ordinances is hereby amended to read as follows : ( a ) Only one ( 1 ) on-site freestanding sign shall be permitted cJ on a lot or at a business operating on two or more a adjoining lots . 1, - Section 2 . That Sec . 17B-9 ( C ) ( 1 ) of the Fayetteville Code of Ordinances is hereby amended to read as follows : ( 1 ) Only one ( 1 ) on-site or off -site freestanding sign shall be permitted on a lot , at a shopping center , or at a mall ; provided, only one on-site freestanding sign shall be permitted for any business operating on two or more adjoining lots . Section 3 . That Sec . 17B-9 ( D ) ( 1 ) of the Fayetteville Code of Ordinances is hereby amended to read as follows : ( 1 ) Only one ( 1 ) on-site free standing sign shall be permitted on a lot , at a shopping center, or at a mall ; provided , only one ( 1 ) on-site free standing sign shall be permitted for any business operating on two or more adjoining lots , PASSED AND APPROVED this Sri day of n hor , 1985 .
