AN ORDINANCE WAIVING THE REQUIREMENTS OF OJMPErITIVE CLERK
BIDDING FOR THE PURCHASE OF A THREE MONTH SUPPLY
OF POLYMERS FOR THE POLLUTION OXTROL PLANT ,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIIWI 7R.S OF THE CITY OF FAYr?rry LIE,
ARRAI0AS: •
Section 1 . That the Board of Directors hereby waives the
requirements of competitive bidding for the purchase of a three month
supply of polymers for the Pollution Control Plant for the reason
that said requirements are not practical as the Pollution Control
Plant is in immediate need of polymers for the safe and efficient
operation of said plant .
Section 2 . That the Board of Directors hereby authorizes
the purchase of 16 , 800 pounds of polymers over a three month period
from Nalco Chemical Company at a total price of $19 , 580 . 80 .
Section 3 . That the Board of Directors hereby determines
that the Pollution Control Plant is in immediate need of polymers
for the safe and efficient operation of said plant and that the immediate
passage of this ordinance is necessary for the purchase of the needed
polymers . Therefore , an emergency is hereby declared to exist and
this ordinance being necessary for the public health, safety and welfare
shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval .
