AN ORDINANCE WAIVING THE REQUIREMENTS OF COMPETITIVE
BIDDING FOR REMEDIAL FORK ON STONE PANELS AT THE
FRONT OF THE CITY ADMINISTRATION BUILDING.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DD ECPDRS OF THE CM OF FAYEI7EVILIE,
ARKANSAS:
Section 1 . That the Board of Directors hereby waives the
requirements of competitive bidding for remedial work on stone panels
at the front of the City Administration Building for the reason that
said requirements are not practical as there is only one company in
the area capable of performing said work .
Section 2 . That the Board of Directors hereby authorizes
the Mayor and City Clerk to execute a contract with Eureka Stone Company
for remedial work on stone panels at the front of the City Administration
Building at a total cost not to exceed $3 , 000 .
Section 3 . That the Board of Directors hereby determines
that the stone panels at the front of the City Administration Building
are in need of immediate repair to safeguard the integrity of said
building . Therefore , an emergency is hereby declared to exist and
this ordinance being necessary for the public safety and welfare shall
be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval .
