AN ORDINANCE WAVING THE REQUIREMENTS OF COMPETITIVE
BIDDING FOR THE PURCHASE OF NALCO 7133 POLYMER
FOR THE POLLUTION CONTROL PLANT ,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF FAYET'lEVILLE,
ARKANSAS:
Section 1 . That the Board of Directors hereby waives the
requirements of competitive bidding for the purchase of Nalco 7133
Polymer for the Pollution Control Plant for the reason that said require-
ments are not practical because there is immediate need for said polymer to
safely operate the Pollution Control Plant ,
Section 2 . That the Board of Directors hereby authorizes
a truck load quantity purchase of said polymer from Nalco Chemical
a Carpany at a price of $1 . 10 per pound for a total price of $19 , 705 . 00 .
Section 3 . The Board of Directors hereby determines that
the Pollution Control Plant is in immediate need of Nalco 7133 Polymer
for the safe operation of said plant and hereby determines that the
immediate passage of this ordinance is necessary for the purchase
of said polymer . Therefore , an emergency is hereby declared to exist
and this ordinance being necessary for the public safety and welfare
shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval .
PASSED AND AN?PROVED this 18th day of June , 1985 .
