AN ORDINANCE WAIVING THE REQUIREMENTS OF COMPETITIVE
BIDDING FOR THE CONCRETE OVERLAY OF MAPLE STREET
FROM GREGG AVENUE TO LINDELL STREET ,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BDARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE,
ARKANSAS:
Section 1 . That the Board of Directors hereby waives the
requirements of competitive bidding for the concrete overlay of Maple
Street from Gregg Avenue to Lindell Street for the reason said requirements
are not feasible because there is only one area contractor to perform
the job .
Section 2 . The : .Board of Directors hereby determines that
�J Maple Street from Gregg Avenue to Lindell Street is in need of immediate
repair to safeguard vehicular and pedestrian traffic and hereby determines
that the immediate passage of 'this = ordinance is- necessary for the
imrediate repair of Maple Street . Therefore , an emergency is hereby
declared to exist and this ordinance being necessary for the public
safety and welfare : shall be in full force and effect from and after
its passage and approval .
PASSED AND APPROVED this21 day of Nay 1985 .
