AN ORDINANCE WAIVING THE REQUIREMENTS OF COMPETITIVE
BIDDING FOR THE PURCHASE OF HYDRATED LIME FOR
THE POLLUTION CONTROL PLANT .
BE IT O MUNED BY THE BOARD OF DEW10W OF THE CITY OF FAYETMVIELLE.
ARKANSAS:
Section 1 . That the Board of Directors hereby waives the
requirements of canpetitive bidding for the purchase of hydrated lime
for the Pollution Control Plant for the reason that said requirements
are not practical as there are only two suppliers and the City has
taken quotations frau said suppliers .
Section 2 . That the Board of Directors hereby authorizes
the purchase of- hydrated lime for the Pollution Control Plant in 1985
frau Rangaire Corporation 'at a price of :$87 . 60 per ton.
Section 3 . That the Board of Directors hereby determines
that the Pollution Control Plant is in immediate need of hydrated
lime to insure proper operation of said plant ; that proper operation
of the Pollution Control Plant is essential to the public welfare ;
and that the immediate passage of this ordinance is necessary for
the proper operation of the Pollution Control Plant . Therefore , an
emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance being necessary
for the public health, safety and welfare shall be in full force and
effect Fran and after its passage and approval .
PASSED AND APPROVED this 8th day of January , 1985 .
