WHEREAS , the City of Fayetteville has been awarded a survey and planning grant in the amount of $7 , 500 . 00 from the Certified Local Government Program of the Arkansas Historic Preservation Program ; and WHEREAS , said grant is to be matched by a sum in the amount of $8 , 815 . 00 ; and WHEREAS , the Project Coordinator is in need of office space , equipment , and secretarial assistance ; and WHEREAS , City Director Ronald E . Bumpass has available office space , equipment , and secretarial assistance to meet the requirements of the Project Coordinator ; and WHEREAS , Ark . Stat . Ann. Sect . 19-714 provides that a director of a City shall not be interested directly or indirectly in any contracts made with the City unless the Board of Directors of the City shall have enacted an ordinance specifically permitting a director to conduct business with the city and prescribing the extent of such authority . NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE , ARKANSAS : Section 1 . That the Board of Directors hereby authorizes Director Ron Bumpass to rent office space and equipment and to provide secretarial assistance to the aforesaid project coordinator .
