Section 1 . That the Board of Directors hereby wairfes
the requirements of competitive bidding, for the purchase
of materials to construct an office in the Central Fire
Station for the reason that said requirements are not
practical as there is an immediate need for an office in
the Central Fire Station to coordinate fire protection ,
administration , and training, activities .
Section 2 . The Board of Directors hereby determines
that tie'City is in immediate need of office space at the
Central Fire Station to coordinate fire protection , adminis -
tration , and training activities necessary to protect the
public safety and welfare . Therefore , an emergency is hereby
declared to exist and this ordinance being necessary for the
public safety and welfare shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval .
PASSED AND APPROVED this 4th day of October , 1983 .
