Home My WebLink AboutOrdinance 2937 ORDINANCE NO ,. _ , 2937 MICROFILME6 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 13 - 8 . 1 OF THE FAYETTEVILLE CODE OF ORDINANCES TO REQUIRE THAT AN APPLICATION FOR A NOISE VARIANCE BE FILED WITH THE CITY MANAGER A MINIMUM OF FOURTEEN ( 14 ) DAYS PRIOR TO THE DATE ON WHICH A VARIANCE IS REQUESTED . BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE , ARKANSAS . Section 1 : That Section 13 - 8 . 1 ( g ) ( 1 ) of the Fayetteville Code o Ordinances is hereby amended by adding the following to the last paragraph in said section : For events to be attended by the public , the written application for a variance shall be filedtwith the City Manager a minimum of fourteen ( 14 ) days pigior to the date on which a variance is requested . G Section 2 : The Board of Directors hereby determines that excessive noise is detrimenal to the public health , safety and welfare and hereby determines that the immediate passage of this ordinance is necessary to adequately regulate noicerwithin the City.. . .: Therefore ., an emergency is hereby declared 'to exist and this ordinance , being necessary for the public health , safety and welfare , shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval .
