BIDDING FOR THE STRIPING OF CITY STP4b; r it] FJ .jtib R

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE 66Y OF
FAYETTEVILLE , ARKANSAS :
Section 1 . That the Board of Directors hereby waives
the requirements of competitive bidding for the striping of
the City ' s streets in 1983 because said requirements are not
practical as there is only one bidder meeting specifications .
Section 2 . The Board of Directors hereby awards the
contractor the paving of the City ' s street in 1983 to
Stafford Enterprises of Alexander , Arkansas , at the following
contract prices : $ . 11 per linear foot of skip line ; $ . 09
per linear foot of continuous line ; and $ 60 . 00 each for left
or right turn arrows . Said contract shall expire September 21 ,
1983 .
Section 3 . The Board of Directors hereby determines
that many City Streets are in immediate need of striping
in order to safeguard vehicular and pedestrian traffic ;
that safe vehicular and pedestrian traffic is essential to
the public welfare ; and that the immediate passage of this
ordinance is necessary to insure safe pedestrian and vehicular
traffic on the City ' s streets . Therefore an emergency is
hereby declared to exist and this ordinance being necessary
for the public safety and welfare shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage and approval .
