BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
FAYETTEVILLE , ARKANSAS :
Section 1 . That the first sentence in Section 19 - 190 . 1 ( 1 )
of the Fayetteville Code of Ordinances is hereby amended to
read as follows :
( 1 ) Parking Spaces on the third level of the
City parking garage on Meadow Street shall be rented
on a monthly basis at a rate of $ 20 . 00 per month per
space .
Section 2 . The Board of Directors hereby determines that
effective regulation of parking in the City parking garage on
Meadow Street requires the imposition of reasonable fees ;
that effective regulation of parking in said facilities is
essential to the public welfare ; and that the passage of this
ordinance is necessary to impose such fees and effectively
regulate parking in said garage . Therefore , an emergency is
hereby declared to exist and this ordinance being necessary
for the public safety and welfare shall be in full force and
effect from and after December 1 , 1982 .
