AN ORDINANCE WAIVING THE REQUIREMENTS OF COMPETITIVE< n i;
BIDDING FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF FLOOD DAMAGE RE- - -
ON
EPAON ELIZABETH AVENUE .
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
FAYETTEVILLE , ARKANSAS :
Section 1 . That the Board of Directors hereby waives
the requi— r tints of competitive bidding for the construction
of flood damage repairs on Elizabeth Avenue . for the reason
C� that said requirements are not practical because of the
immediate need for such construction to safeguard the public
safety .
Section 2 . The Board of Directors hereby determines
that t eTi �ne'ciate construction of flood damage repairs on
Elizabeth Avenue is necessary to protect the public safety
and welfare ; and that the immediate passage of this ordinance
is necessary to enable such construction . Therefore an
emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance
being necessary for the public safety and welfare shall be
in full force and efffect from and after its passage and
approval .
