AN ORDINANCE WAIVING COMPETITIVE BID REQUIURNE f,f� Y ARCS,
THE INSTALLATION OF TRAFFIC SIGNAL EQUIPMEN4fIRK R
EVELYN HILLS CONTROLLER .
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
FAYETTEVILLE , ARKANSAS :
Section 1 . The Board of Directors hereby waives the
requirements of competitive bidding for the installation of
traffic signal equipment at the Evelyn Hills controller for
the reason that there is only one manufacturer meeting
specifications .
Section 2 . The Board of Directors hereby determines
that immeiate installation of, new traffic control equipment
on North College Avenue at Evelyn Hills is essential to vehicular
and pedestrian safety and that the immediate passage of this
ordinance is necessary to enable such installation . Therefore ,
an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance
being necessary for the public safety and welfare shall be in
full force and effect from and after its passage and approval .
