CODE OF ORDINANCES TO AUTHORIZE THE ANIMAL CONTROL
OFFICERS TO ISSUE CITATIONS FOR VIOLATIONS OF THE
ANIMAL CONTROL ORDINANCE .
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
FAYETTEVILLE , ARKANSAS :
Section 1 . That Sec . 4- 24 of the Fayetteville Code of
Ordinances is hereby amended to read as follows :
Sec . 4- 24 . Animal control officer authorized
to issue citations .
The City ' s animal control officers are
authorized to issue a citation to any person
violating any provision of this Chapter in the
presence of said animal control officer.
Section 2 . The Board of Directors hereby determines
that eel eco enforcement of the City ' s animal control
regulations requires that the animal control officers have
the authority to issue citations to persons violating said
regulations in their presence ; and that the passage of this
ordinance is necessary to authorize the animal control officer
to issue such citations . Therefore , an emergency is hereby
declared to exist and this ordinance being necessary for the
public health , safety , and welfare shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage and approval .
