WATER AND SEWER DEPARTMENT OPERATIONS CENTER .
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
FAYETTEVILLE , ARKANSAS :
Section 1 . That the Board of Directors hereby waives
the requirements of competitive bidding for the purchase of
no - lead gasoline for the Water and Sewer Operations Center
for the reason that said requirements are not practical because
vendors will quote a price which is firm for only 24 hours .
Section 2 . That the Board of Directors hereby authorizes
the purc� of no - lead gasoline for the Water and Sewer
Operations Center from Gold Kist Inc . at a price of $ 1 . 145
per gallon for 8 , 000 gallons .
Section 3 . The Board of Directors hereby determines that
the Water an Sewer Department Operations Center is in immediate
need of no - lead gasoline and that the immediate purchase of
said gasoline is necessary for the City to provide essential
public services . Therefore , an emergency is hereby declared
to exist and this ordinance being necessary for the public
welfare shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage and approval .
