BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
FAYETTEVILLE , ARKANSAS :
Section 1 . That Chanter 19 of the Fayetteville Code of
Ordinance—s is hereby amended by adding Section 19 - 190 . 1 to
read as follows :
Sec . 19 - 190 . 1 . Rates for parking in City Parking
Garage on Meadow Street .
( 1 ) Parking spaces on the third level of the City
Parking Garage on Meadow Street shall be rented on a
monthly basis at a rate of $ 25 . 00 per month per space .
Each person renting a parking space on said third level
shall be issued a card which when inserted to the entry
gate will activate said gate between the hours of
5 : 00 a . m . and 5 : 00 p . m . daily during which period the
card holder shall be entitled to the exclusive use of
one parking space . Each parking space on the third
level of said parking garage shall be available to the
general public from 4 : 30 p . m . to 5 : 00 a . m . and , the
gate entry fee during said period shall be $ . 50 per
entry .
( 2 ) The following charges shall be made for the
parking of automobiles on the first and second levels
of the City Parking Garage on Meadow Street :
0 - 1 hour $ . 25
1 - 2 hours $ . 50
2 - 3 hours $ . . 75
3 - 10 hours $ 1 . 00
10 - 24 hours $ 1 . 50
( 3 ) It shall be unlawful for any person to cause ,
allow , permit , or suffer any vehicle operated by him or
registered in his name to be parked in the City Parking
Garage on Meadow Street without paying the parking fees
prescribed by paragraphs ( 1) and ( 2 ) above . It shall
be unlawful for any person who has not been issued
a gate entry card by the City to cause , allow , permit ,
or suffer any vehicle operated by him or registered
in his name to be parked on the third level of said
parking garage between the hours of 5 : 00 a . m . and
4 : 30 p : m . .
'• Section 2 . The Board of Directors hereby determines
that the . CityParking' Ga'rage on Meadow Street will soon be
completed ; that ' effective regulation of parking in said
garage requires the imposition of reasonable fees ; and that
the immediate passage of : this ordinance is necessary to impose
such fees and effective regulate parking in said garage . There-
fore , an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance
being necessary for the public safety and welfare shall be
in full force and effect from and after its passage and
approval .
