LIMITATION PRESCRIBED THEREBY FOR PLACING POLITICAL f
SIGNS IN DISTRICTS WHERE SIGNS ARE NOT PERMITTED .
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
FAYETTEVILLE , ARKANSAS :
Section 1 . That § 17B - 6 ( i ) ( 1 ) of the Fayetteville Code
\ of Or inaa�is hereby amended to read as follows :
tl ( 1 ) In districts where signs are not otherwise
d permitted , a political sign may be erected
but said sign shall be removed within seventy-
two hours following the final election to
which it applies ; the owner of the property
on which said sign is placed shall be responsible
for its removal .
Section 2 . The Board of Directors hereby determines
that tie Fayetteville Sign Ordinance regulations applicable
to political signs are in need of clarification for effective
regulation of signs within the City ; that effective sign
regulation is essential to the public welfare ; and that the
immediate passage of this ordinance is essential to effective
sign regulation . Therefore , an emergency is hereby declared
to exist , and this ordinance being necessary for the public
welfare shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage and approval . ^ D
