AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 17B OF THE FAYElrTw-�; UNTYARK
CODE OF ORDINANCES TO AMEND THE DEFINITION OF , AND '� IhK R
APPLICABLE TO , DIRECTIONAL SIGNS .
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
OF FAYETTEVILLE , ARKANSAS :
Section 1 . That Section 17B- 2 of the Fayetteville Code
of Ordinances is hereby amended by amending the definition
of directional sign to read as follows :
Directional Sign . A sign of a non-commercial nature
which directs the reader to the location of public
or educational institutions , or to the location of historical
structures or areas , or to the location of public parks
or buildings .
Section 2 . That Section 17B- 6 ( n ) of the Fayetteville
Code of Ordinances is hereby amended by adding the following
sentence : The restrictions on the location and number of
free standing signs prescribed by 17B- 9 of this chapter shall
not apply to directional signs .
