AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 21 - 2 OF THE FAY ITTI.EET {I{BJnJrY
CODE OF ORDINANCES TO INCREASE WATER AND SEWE �� jUio LMEYER PK

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
FAYETTEVILLE , ARKANSAS :
Section 1 . Sec . 21 - 2 ( a ) of the Fayetteville Code of
Ordinances is hereby amended by amending the second sentence
therein to read as follows :
Such connections shall be made upon payment to the
City of the following fee :
Asphalt or Highway or
Meter Size Dirt Street Concrete Street Bore
5 / 8 " water $ 275 . 00 $ 390 . 00 $ 300 . 00
5 / 8 " double water 320 . 00 435 . 00 345 . 00

Section 2 . That Sec . 21 - 2 of the Fayetteville Code of
Ordinances is hereby amended by deleting the last paragraph
therein .
Section 3 . The Board of Directors hereby determines that
the City s water and sewer tap fees should be increased to enable
efficient operation of the City ' s water and sewer system ; that
efficient operation of the City ' s water and sewer system is
essential to the public welfare ; and that the passage of this
ordinance is necessary to increase the City ' s water and sewer
tap fees . Therefore an emergency is hereby declared to exist
and this ordinance being necessary for the public welfare shall
be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval .
