AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2A- 18 OF THE F Ii � , LE 00
CODE OF ORDINANCES TO IMPOSE A ONE CENT PER I
FLOWAGE FEE UPON ALL AVIATION AND AUTOMOTIVE FUE CSF YF�,q�k
DELIVERED TO THE FAYETTEVILLE MUNICIPAL AIRPORT BY R/f
PETROLEUM PRODUCT DISTRIBUTORS .
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
FAYETTEVILLE , ARKANSAS :
Section 1 , That Sec . 2A- 18 of the Fayetteville Code of
Ordinances is hereby amended by adding the following paragraph :
Any petroleum product distributor supplying aviation
J or automotive fuel at the Fayetteville Municipal
Airport ( Drake Field ) shall pay to the City a flowage
fee of one cent per gallon of aviation or automotive
fuel supplied at the Fayetteville Municipal Airport
(Drake Field ) . Said supplier shall keep accurate
records reflecting the number of gallons of aviation
and . automotive fuels supplied at the Airport each
month and shall remit to the City Finance Director by
the 10th of the month the flowage fee payable under
this section , together with a copy of said supplier ' s
records for the preceding month reflecting the number
of gallons supplied at the Airport .
Section 2 . The Board of Directors hereby determines that
Airport revenues are not sufficient to finance proper operation
of the Fayetteville Municipal Airport ; that proper operation
of the Fayetteville Municipal Airport is essential to the public
safety and welfare ; and that the passage of this ordinance is
necessary to • enable proper operation of the Airport . Therefore ,
an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance
being necessary for the public safety and welfare shall be in
full force and effect from- and//after its passage and approval .
