AN ORDINANCE WAIVING THE REQUIREMENTS OF COMPETZ'�fVE O
BIDDING FOR THE PURCHASE OF ONE AUTOMATIC 218 o
SOLID STATE TRAFFIC CONTROLLER .
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 0cp)r3�V% O O
FAYETTEVILLE , ARKANSAS : ����v
Section 1 . That the Board of Directors hereby waives
the requirements of competitive bidding for the purchase of
one automatic 218 NEMA solid state traffic controller because
the Board finds that said competitive bidding requirements are
not practical as there is only one supplier meeting bid
specifications .
Section 2 . The Board of Directors hereby determines
v that the Ci y is in immediate need of one 218 NEMA solid state
traffic controller for effective regulation of traffic on the
city ' s streets ; that effective regulation of traffic is essential
to the public health , safety and welfare ; and that the passage
of this ordinance is necessary for effective traffic regulation .
Therefore an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this
ordinance being necessary for the public health , safety and
welfare shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage and approval .
