AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 19 - 127 ( b ) OF THE FAYETTEVILLE
CODE OF ORDINANCES TO PROVIDE THAT NO PERSON,`' SHALL PARK IN
A TWO HOUR PARKING ZONE FOR MORE THAN TWO CONSECUTIVE HOURS
DURING ANY FOUR HOUR PERIOD .
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITYcfi' y C

Section 1 . That Sec . 19 - 127 ( b ) of the Fayettevi, Godd rn
of Or finances is hereby amended to read as follows : �= '- n

( b ) No person shall park any vehicle in any two how
C1 parking zone located in the City for longer than twox
consecutive hours during any four hour period , except
on Sundays or holidays . All such two hour parking zones
shall be designated by signs .
Section 2 . The Board of Directors hereby deterimines that
the Cit'y s parking regulations do not effectively regulate
on - street parking ; that effective regulation of on - street
parking is essential to the public health , safety and welfare ;
and that the passage of this ordinance is necessary to effectively
regulate on - street parking . Therefore , an emergency is hereby
declared to exist and this ordinance being necessary for the
public health , safety and welfare shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval .
