CODE OF ORDINANCES TO AMEND WATER AND SEWER TAPS Fwq� �j/ rf
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF Fe �}
FAYETTEVILLE , ARKANSAS :

Section 1 , That Sec . 21 - 2 of the Fayetteville Code of
Ordinances is hereby amended to read as follows :
All service tap connections made on the City water and
sewer mains shall be made by the Water and Sewer Department
of the City . Such connections shall be made upon
payment to the City of the following fee :
Asphalt or Highway or
Meter Size : Dirt Street : Concrete : Street Bore :
5/ 8 " water $ 175 $ 250 $ 190
5/ 8 " double water 205 280 220
1 " water 195 270 210
4 " sewer 170 245
6 " sewer 190 265
* For any tap not covered by the above schedule ,
the Water and Sewer Superintendent shall make
an estimate of the cost of the proposed tap
and the tap shall be made upon payment of
said estimate . In the event the actual cost
of installation exceeds the estimate , the
difference shall be refunded to the person
paying the tap fee . In the event the actual
cost of installation exceeds the estimate ,
the difference shall be billed to the person
paying the tap fee and he shall be liable therefore .
The tap fees prescribed herein shall apply to all water
and sewer taps made after 30 days from the passage of this
ordinance ; provided , no more than one water tap and one sewer
tap per family shall be allowed within said 30 day period at
the tap fees in effect prior to passage of this ordinance ;
in the event more than one water or sewer tap is requested
and made within said 30 day period the tap fees prescribed
herein shall apply to each additional water or sewer tap .
Section 2 . The Board of Directors hereby determines that
the City'—s water and sewer tap fees should be increased to enable
efficient operation of the City ' s water and sewer system ; that
efficient operation of the City ' s water and sewer system is
essential to the public welfare ; and that the passage of this
ordinance is necessary to increase the City ' s water and sewer
tap fees . Therefore , an emergency is hereby declared to exist
and this ordinance being necessary for the public welfare shall
be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval .

CODE OFORDINANCES TO AMEND tVATEBMNDSEWER TAP FEESr
BE OR ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE O1TY-OF
FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS: ^-
Section 1. That See. 21-2 of the Fayetteville Code of Ordinances is bereby
amended to read as follows:
All service tan connections made on the City water and sewer mains shall be
