AN ORDINANCE WAIVING THE REQUIREMENTS OF COMPETITIVE
BIDDING FOR THE PURCHASE OF A CLARKE CONCEPT 4000
CARPET CLEANING SYSTEM FOR THE FAYETTEVILLE MUNICIPAL
AIRPORT .
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF OF
FAYETTEVILLE , ARKANSAS :
Section 1 . That the Board of Directors hereby waives
the requirement of competitive bidding for the purchase of a
Clarke Concept 4000 Carpet Cleaning System for the Fayetteville
Municipal Airport because said bidding requirements are not
feasible for the reason that there is only one authorized
dealer of said equipment in the area .
Section 2 . The Board of Directors hereby determines
that the Fayetteville Municipal Airport is in immediate need
of a carpet cleaning system for proper maintenance of said
airport ; that proper maintenance of the Fayetteville Municipal
Airport is essential to the public health , safety , and
welfare ; and that the passage of this ordinance is essential
for the proper maintenance of the Fayetteville Municipal
Airport . Therefore , an emergency is hereby declared to
exist , and this ordinance being necessary for the public
health , safety , and welfare , should be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approva
