AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 18 - 7 OF THE FAYETTEVILLE
CODE OF ORDINANCES TO PROVIDE THAT THE CITY MANAGER OR
OTHER OFFICIAL DESIGNATED BY THE CITY MANAGER SHALL
ISSUE A PERMIT FOR CONSTRUCTION OF CERTAIN RETAINING
WALLS .
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
FAYETTEVILLE , ARKANSAS :
Section 1 . That Section 18 - 7 ( a ) of the Fayetteville
Code of Ordinances is hereby amended to read as follows :
(a ). It shall be unlawful for any person to construct
any retaining wall within two feet of the inside of any
sidewalk in the City , or if there is no sidewalk ,
within two feet of the platted line of the City right-
of-way , without first obtaining a permit to do so from
the City Manager or other official designated by the
City Manager .
