BIDDING FOR THE PURCHASE OF PARTS NECESSARY TO MODIFYTC�j�✓T O&
ON- STREET AND OFF-STREET PARKING METERS .

\ BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
J FAYETTEVILLE , ARKANSAS : M I CR O O LME D
C1 Section 1 . That the Board of Directors hereby waives
the requirement of competitive bidding for the purchase of
parts necessary to modify on- street and off- street parking
meters to reflect prescribed hourly rates for the reason
that competitive bidding is not feasible because there is
only one ( 1 ) supplier of the necessary parts .
Section 2 . The Board of Directors hereby authorizes
the purchase of the aforesaid parking meter parts from Duncan
Meter Company ,
Section 3 . The Board of Directors hereby determines
that the City ' s on- street and off- street parking meters are
in immediate need of modification for the effective regulation
of on- street and off- street parking ; that the effective
regulation of on- street and off- street parking is essential
to the public health , safety and welfare ; and that the
passage of this Ordinance is necessary to enable the immediate
modification of the City ' s on- street and off- street parking
meters . Therefore , an emergency is hereby declared to
exist , and this Ordinance being necessary for the public
health , safety and welfare shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval .
