AN ORDINANCE WAIVING THE REQUIREMENTS OF COMPETITIVE BIllvft28 AN10: 43

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CI alLLPiEyt P.K.

FAYETTEVILLE , ARKANSAS : CLER✓t
Section 1 . That the Board of Directors hereby waives
the requirements of competitive bidding for the purchase of
101 . 4 tons of medium crushed rock salt for the reason that
there is only one available supplier of such salt .
Section 2 . The Board of Directors hereby determines
that the Fayetteville Street Department is in immediate need
of medium crushed rock salt for use in keeping City streets
free of snow and ice during the winter months ; that there is
only one available supplier of such salt ; and that the
passage of this ordinance is necessary in order to enable
the immediate purchase of such salt . Therefore , an emergency
is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance being necessary
for the public health , safety and welfare shall be in full
force and effect from and after its passage and approval .
