AN ORDINANCE WAIVING THE REQUIREMENTS OF COMPETT�j
BIDDING FOR THE PURCHASE OF ONE MODEL SB- 1 SCHOOLYARD I TA�YS .

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THEI( of
FAYETTEVILLE , ARKANSAS : e'P��(r���i "n!y��.)�l
Section 1 . That the Board of Directors hereby waives
the requirements of competitive bidding for the purchase of
one Model SB- 1 Schoolyard Big Toys because said requirements
are not feasible for the reason that there is only one manu-
facturer who can meet specifications .
Section 2 , The Board of Directors hereby determines that
the Root Neighborhood Park is in immediate need of one Model
SB- 1 Schoolyard Big Toys ; that the acquisition of said
playground equipment is necessary for the public welfare ;
and that the passage of this ordinance is necessary to make
said immediate acquisition . Therefore , an emergency is hereby
declared to exist , and this ordinance being necessary for the
public welfare shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage .
