AN ORDINANCE WAIVING THE REQUIREMENTS OF1 b�'�!L���p�K
BIDDING FOR THE PURCHASE OF ONE VERTICAL TURBI� CWAfrERE • �Tf�lp
WITH THE CAPACITY OF APPROXIMATELY THREE HUNDRED ( 300 )
GALLONS PER MINUTE FOR THE FAYETTEVILLE POLLUTION CONTROL
PLANT .
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
OF FAYETTEVILLE , ARKANSAS :
Section 1 . That the Board of Directors hereby waives
the requirements of competitive bidding for the purchase of
one vertical turbine water pump with the capacity of approximately
three hundred ( 300 ) gallons per minute for the Fayetteville
Pollution Control Plant for the reason that said requirements
>+ are not feasible because the said pump is needed immediately
to sarfe .guard., the public health , safety , and welfare .
Section 2 . The Board of Directors hereby determines that
the effluent generated by the Fayetteville Pollution Plant
is in need of immediate additional treatment to protect the
public health , safety and welfare and that the passage of this
ordinance is necessary to provide said treatment . Therefore ,
an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance
being necessary for the public health , safety , and welfare shall
be in full force and affect from and after its passage and
approval .
