AN ORDINANCE WAIVING THE REQUIREMENTS OF COMPETITIVE
BIDDING FOR THE PURCHASE OF ONE MODEL SB - 1 SCHOOLYARD BIG TOYS .
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
FAYETTEVILLE , ARKANSAS :
Section 1 . That the Board of 'Directors hereby waives
the requirements of competitive bidding for the purchase of
one Model SB- 1 Schoolyard Big Toys because said requirements
are not feasible for the reason that there is only one manu-
facturer who can meet specifications .
Section 2 . The Board of Directors hereby determines that
the Butterfield Neighborhood Park is in immediate need of one
Model SB - 1 Schoolyard Big Toys ; that the acquisition of said
playground equipment is necessary for the public welfare ; and
that the passage of this ordinance is necessary to make said
immediate acquisition . Therefore , an emergency is hereby
declared to exist , and this ordinance being necessary for
the public welfare shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage .
