AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3 - OF THE FigVRK

CODE OF ORDINANCES TO DELETE THE REQUIREMENT THAT . ;APPER
FOR PRIVATE CLUBS BE APPROVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS .
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
FAYETTEVILLE , ARKANSAS :
Section 1 : That Section 3- 113 ( c ) of the Fayetteville
Code of Ordinances is hereby amended to read as follows :
( c ) The City Clerk shall issue a license to
the applicant upon payment of the license tax . The
City Clerk shall notify the Chief of Police of each
license so issued .
Section 2 . The Board of Directors hereby determines that
the present requirement of Board approval for private club
applications should be deleted because the state has pre-empted
the field ; that said requirement unnecessarily hinders the effective
administration of local government ; and that the passage of this
ordinance is necessary to delete said requirement . Therefore , an
emergency is hereby declared to exist , and this ordinance , being
necessary for the public health , safety and welfare , shall be
in full force and effect from and after its passage .
