AN ORDINANCE AMENDING APPENDIX A TO THE FAYET'j+FjjLL � E�D
OF ORDINANCES TO PROVIDE THAT WHOLESALE BULK PETROLEUM STOtSE DL✓
FACILITIES WITH UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANKS ARE A PERMITTED USE
IN I - 1 , HEAVY COMMERCIAL AND LIGHT INDUSTRIAL , ZONING DISTRICTS .
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
FAYETTEVILLE , ARKANSAS :
Section 1 . That Article 6 of APPENDIX A to the Fayetteville
Code of Ordinances is hereby amended by adding Section [ XXVII ]
to read as follows :
XXVII . Unit 27 . Wholesale bulk petroleum storage
facilities with underground storage tanks .
[ A] Description .
Unit 27 is provided in order that wholesale bulk petroleum
storage facilities with underground storage tanks may be lo-
cated in the appropriate industrial areas .
[ B ] Included Uses .
Wholesale bulk petroleum storage facilities with under-
ground storage tanks .
[ C ] Off- street parking requirements .
One space per one thousand square feet of floor area .
Section 2 . The Board of Directors hereby determines that
the zoning ordinance does not adequately regulate the location
of wholesale bulk petroleum storage facilities with underground
storage tanks ; that such regulation is necessary for the public
health , safety and welfare ; and that the passage of this ordi-
nance is necessary to accomplish such regulation . Therefore , an
emergency is hereby declared to exist , and this ordinance being
necessary for the public health , safety and welfare , shall be
in full force and effect from and after its passage .
