AN ORDINANCE RATIFYING THE ACTION OF THE DULY AUTHORIZED
REPRESENTATIVE OF THE CITY MANAGER IN ABATING UNSIGHTLY , UN-
SANITARY AND UNSAFE CONDITIONS EXISTING ON CERTAIN PROPERTY
LOCATED AT 1717 STIRMAN AVENUE .
WHEREAS , Mrs . Mary Guthrie is the owner of certain property
located at 1717 Stirman Avenue and more particularly described
as Lots 8 , 9 , and 10 of Block 10 in Parksdale Addition to the
City of Fayetteville , Arkansas ; and
WHEREAS , the owner of the aforesaid property , after having
been given well over twenty ( 20 ) days notice to do so , neglected
and refused to remove , abate , or eliminate unsightly , unsanitary ,
and unsafe conditions existing on said property ; and
WHEREAS , as a result of said owner ' s neglect and refusal
the duly authorized representative of the City Manager , acting
under authority of Ark . Stats . 19 - 2325 - 19 - 2328 and Sections
11- 1 - 11- 3 of the Fayetteville Code of Ordinances did what was
necessary to correct said unsightly , unsanitary and unsafe con -
ditions on the aforesaid property .
NOW , THEREFORE , BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE , ARKANSAS :
Section 1 . That the action of the duly authorized repre-
sentative of the City Manager in correcting the unsightly , un-
sanitary , and unsafe conditions on property located at 1717
Stirman Avenue and more particularly described as Lots 8 , 9
and 10 of Block 10 in Parksdale Addition to the City of Fayette -
ville , Arkansas be , and the same is hereby , ratified , as is
the action of the duly authorized representative of the City
Manager in charging the cost thereof to the owner of said lots .
Section 2 . That under the authority of Ark . Stat . 19 - 2326
and Section 11- 3 of the Fayetteville Code of Ordinances , the
City of Fayetteville shall have a lien against the aforesaid
property for such costs .
Section 3 . That the City Attorney is hereby authorized
to enforce the aforesaid lien within eighteen ( 18 ) months after
work was done by action in the Washington County Chancery
Court . N
