AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF WHEELCHAIR
RAMPS AT PEDESTRIAN CROSSWALKS ON COLLECTOR AND ARTERIAL STREETS ,
IN COMMERCIAL ZONES , AND ON THOSE STREETS FINANCED BY FEDERAL
FUNDS .
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
FAYETTEVILLE , ARKANSAS :
Section 1 . At all pedestrian crosswalks on collector and
arterial streets , in commercial zones , and on those streets
financed by federal funds throughout the city , adequate and
reasonable access for the safe and convenient movement of
physically handicapped persons , including those in wheelchairs ,
across curbs constructed or replaced on or after the effective
date of this ordinance shall be provided in accordance with
the design standards specified in Exhibit " A " , attached hereto
and made a part hereof .
Section 2 . That this ordinance shall be in full force
and effect from and after the time provided by law .
