AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NUMBER 2230 TOS SUNTY
THE OCCUPATION TAX PAYABLE BY EMPLOYERS , ALMA HOLLMEYER

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF '
FAYETTEVILLE , ARKANSAS :
Section 1 . That Section 1 ( c ) of Ordinance Number 2230 is
hereby amended to read as follows :
( c ) The term " employee " as used herein shall refer
to any natural person performing service for an employer
as defined in sub- section (b ) above for a period of time
in excess of 30 hours per week upon a salary , wage , com-
mission or other compensation basis , unless such service
does not originate or take place in the City of Fayetteville ;
provided , any person paying an occupation tax pursuant to
Section 2 of this ordinance shall not be considered an
employee .
Section 2 . That Section 2 ( b ) of Ordinance Number 2230
is hereby amended to read as follows :
(b ) Each non-professional employer shall pay an
occupation license tax in the amount of $ 15 . 00 plus t
$ 6 . 00 per employee . Each professional employer shall
pay an occupation tax in the amount of $ 6 . 00 per employee .
The maximum tax per employer shall not exceed $ 500 . 00 .
