AN ORDINANCE EXPRESSING THE FINDINGS OF THE BOARD OF
DIRECTORS ON THE SUFFICIENCY OF PETITIONS REQUESTING THE
FORMATION OF AN IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT FOR THE PURPOSE OF
CONSTRUCTING AN OFF-STREET PARKING GARAGE IN THE DOWNTOWN AREA .
WHEREAS , the Board of Directors has held a public hearing
as required by law on the sufficiency of the petitions requesting
the formation of an improvement district for the purpose of
constructing an off- street parking garage in the Downtown area ; and
WHEREAS , the Board of Directors has heard all persons
desiring to be heard on the issue of the sufficiency of said
petitions .
NOW , THEREFORE , BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE , ARKANSAS :
That the Board of Directors hereby determines that those
petitions requesting the formation of an improvement district for
the purpose of constructing an off- street parking garage in the
Downtown area do not contain the signatures of a majority in
assessed value of property owners in the proposed district , as
shown by the last county assessment .
