AN ORDINANCE REPEALING ORDINANCE NO , 1922 PURPORTING TO
CHANGE THE BOUNDARIES OF WARDS IN THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE ,
ARKANSAS ; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES ,
WHEREAS , the Board of Directors adopted Ordinance No , 1922
on July 3 , 1973 , to change the boundaries of wards in the City of
Fayetteville , Arkansas ; and
WHEREAS , subsequent to the adoption of Ordinance No , 1922
the Washington County Circuit Court entered an order pursuant
to Ark . Stat , Ann , Sec . 19 - 1005 establishing new ward boundaries
for the City ; and
WHEREAS , Ordinance No , 1922 was adopted pursuant to authority
granted cities of the first class by Section 7 , Act No . 256 , 1973
Acts of the General Assembly ; and
WHEREAS , subsequent to the adoption of Ordinance No . 1922 ,
the Arkansas Supreme Court declared said Section 7 to be unconstitut-
ional .
NOW , THEREFORE , BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE , ARKANSAS :
Section 1 . That Ordinance No . 1922 adopted July 3 , 1973 , be ,
and the same hereby is , repealed .
Section 2 . That this ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after the time provided by law ,
PASSED AND APPROVED THIS 666 DAY OF ,
1974 .
