AN ORDINANCE WAIVING FORMAL BID REQUIREMENTS FOR CLAY
SEWER PIPE AND FITTINGS FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE 1974 CALENDAR
YEAR ; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES .
WHEREAS , the Water and Sewer Department of the City of
Fayetteville is required to purchase clay sewer pipe and fittings
during the year ; and
WHEREAS , formal bids for the purchase of said pipe and
fittings have been advertised for and received ; and
WHEREAS , none of the bids received for said pipe and
fittings contained a firm price for one year .
NOW , THEREFORE , BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE , ARKANSAS :
Section 1 . That pursuant to Ark . Stat . Ann . Sec . 19 - 4425
the requirements of competitive bidding for the purchase of
clay sewer pipe and fittings be , and hereby are , waived for the
remainder of the 1974 calendar year for the reason that no firm
bids were received by the City for the purchase of said pipe
and fittings .
Section 2 . That this ordinance shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage , approval and publication .
