AN ORDINANCE" TO ' RENAME OBERMAN PARK " r,REATH0U9 SPA IcYSR
AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES .
WHEREAS , the City owns and operates a public park located
behind the Levi - Strauss Plant which park is presently known as
Oberman Park ; and
WHEREAS , the land on which said park is located was donated
to the City of Fayetteville by Jack M . Greathouse and Bessie E .
Greathouse out of concern for the community ; and
WHEREAS , in order to express the appreciation of the City
of Fayetteville for said donation the Board of Directors deems
it desirable to rename Oberman Park " Greathouse Park . "
NOW , THEREFORE , BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE , ARKANSAS :
Section 1 . That the public park presently known as
Oberman Park and located behind the Levi - Strauss Plant be ,
and is hereby , renamed " Greathouse Park . "
Section 2 . That this Ordinance shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage , approval and publication .
